Pick a level to suit your time and tools. Easy patterns have large shapes that work well with markers. Medium patterns add a second layer of detail. Hard patterns are packed with small shapes for experienced adult colorists and look best with fine-tip pens or sharp colored pencils.

Geometric pages reward a plan: choose two to four colors and repeat them in the same position in every tile, or shade each shape from light to dark to bring out depth. Op-art pages look most dramatic in black and white or two strongly contrasting colors.
