Personal license

Print for yourself, your family and one group you lead. No resale, no sharing the files.

You can

• Print as many copies as you like for yourself, your household, friends and family.
• Print copies for one non-commercial group you lead yourself, such as your own class, a scout troop or an activity session at a care home.
• Give colored pages away as cards and gifts, and share photos of your finished coloring online.
• Color the PDF digitally in a tablet app on your own devices.

You can’t

• Sell, share, upload or email the files (or printouts of them) to anyone else, alone or in a bundle.
• Use the designs in anything you sell, including printed books, crafts or print-on-demand products.
• Post the files or pages on a website, shared drive, school portal or social network.

Classroom license

Everything in the personal license, plus sharing with your own students. One license per teacher.

You can

• Everything the personal license allows.
• Print unlimited copies for all of your own students, every school year, in every class you teach.
• Share the PDF with your own students through a private, password-protected class space such as Google Classroom, Seesaw or your school’s learning platform.
• Use the pages with substitute teachers and classroom aides who cover your classes.

You can’t

• Share the files with other teachers or a whole school or district: each teacher needs their own license. (The School & Classroom Site Licence covers a whole school.)
• Post the files on a public website, a public class page or a resource-sharing site such as Teachers Pay Teachers.
• Sell the files or printouts, or use the designs in anything you sell.

Facility licence

Unlimited copies inside one care home, day centre, library branch or community centre for 12 months.

You can

• Print unlimited copies at one facility (one care home, day centre, library branch or community centre at one address) for 12 months from the date you buy.
• Let every staff member, volunteer and activity coordinator at that facility print and use the pages with residents, members and visitors.
• Keep the files on the facility’s own computers or a private, staff-only shared drive.
• Give people their finished pages to keep, and display finished work at the facility (with the colorist’s permission).
• Keep using copies you printed during the 12 months after the licence ends. To print new copies after that, renew the licence.

You can’t

• Share the files with other facilities, including other homes or branches in the same group: each site needs its own licence. (Email us about a price for several sites.)
• Post the files on a public website, social network or resource-sharing site, or email them to people outside the facility.
• Sell the files or printouts, or use the designs in anything you sell, including fundraising products.

Good to know

• The licence belongs to the organisation, not to one person, so it stays with the facility when staff change.
• The collection is an activity resource. It is not a medical, therapeutic or clinical product, and we make no health claims for it.

School site licence

Unlimited copies for all staff and students at one school for 12 months.

You can

• Print unlimited copies for every student at one school (one campus) for 12 months from the date you buy.
• Let every teacher, teaching assistant, substitute, librarian and after-school club leader at that school use the pages.
• Share the PDFs inside the school’s private, password-protected systems, such as a staff drive, Google Classroom, Seesaw or the school’s learning platform.
• Send printed pages home with students.
• Keep using copies you printed during the 12 months after the licence ends. To print new copies after that, renew the licence.

You can’t

• Share the files with other schools, a district or a trust: each school needs its own licence. (Email us about a price for several schools.)
• Post the files on a public website, a public class page or a resource-sharing site such as Teachers Pay Teachers.
• Sell the files or printouts, or use the designs in anything you sell, including PTA fundraising products.

Good to know

• A PTA, parent group or teacher may buy the licence for their school; it then covers the whole school.
• A single teacher who only needs pages for their own class can use the Classroom Alphabet & Numbers Pack instead.

Commercial license

Use the designs in products you sell, including KDP books, crafts and print-on-demand. You can’t resell the files.

You can

• Use the designs in physical products you sell, in any quantity: printed coloring books (including Amazon KDP paperbacks), activity sheets you print and sell, cards, stickers, apparel, mugs, tote bags, wall art and cut-file crafts made with machines such as Cricut or Silhouette.
• Use the designs on print-on-demand items (for example Redbubble, Etsy POD partners or KDP) where the buyer receives a physical product.
• Change the designs: recolor, resize, crop, combine them with your own art and text.
• Use the designs in marketing for your products, such as listing images and social posts.
• Sell finished, colored artwork you made with a design as a physical item.

You can’t

• Resell, share or give away the design files themselves (SVG, PNG, PDF or any other format), or offer them as printables, digital downloads, clip art, cut files or design bundles, even if you changed them.
• Register the designs as your trademark or copyright, or claim that you drew them.
• Use the designs in logos, or in anything hateful, illegal or misleading.
• Transfer or share this license: it covers you, or your own business, only.

Good to know

• The license is non-exclusive and does not expire. Other buyers can use the same designs, and Colouring Nest keeps the copyright.
• No credit is required, but we always appreciate it.
• How the art is made: every design is drawn by Colouring Nest’s own pattern-making code (procedural geometry, not an AI image generator). Parts of that code were written with help from an AI assistant. If a marketplace such as KDP asks whether your content is AI-generated, read its current rules and answer based on this description.
