Easy puzzles use a 10×10 grid with large letters and words that only go across and down; the large-print puzzle uses a 9×9 grid with even bigger letters, made for seniors and anyone with low vision. Medium puzzles add diagonal words on a 13×13 grid, and hard puzzles hide 20 words in all eight directions, including backwards.
The summer Christmas word search is for a New Zealand or Australian Christmas: beaches, barbecues, pavlova and pōhutukawa. The Christmas baking puzzle is all gingerbread, mince pies and icing.
