For teachers and parents
- Counting dot to dots
- Practises counting in order, number recognition to 10, 20, 50 or 100, pencil control. Find dot 1 (it has a ring), say each number out loud as it is joined, and join the last dot back to the first. Color the finished picture; page 2 of the PDF shows it. About 10–15 minutes.
- Skip counting
- Practises skip counting by 2s, 5s and 10s, number patterns, pencil control. Say the count out loud (“5, 10, 15…”) while joining the dots. If a child gets stuck, count on from the last number joined. About 10–15 minutes.
- Alphabet
- Practises alphabet order, letter recognition (capital or lowercase), pencil control. Sing or say the alphabet while joining the letters from A to Z (or a to z), then join the last letter back to the first. About 10–15 minutes.
How to use these pages
Join the dots in order and a picture appears. Easy puzzles count to 10 or 20 with big numbers; medium ones go to 50; hard ones go all the way to 100. Skip-counting puzzles count by 2s, 5s or 10s, and alphabet puzzles join A to Z or a to z.
Every puzzle is drawn from one of our own pictures. The first dot has a ring around it, the numbers never touch a dot or a line, and inner details like eyes are already drawn to help. The answer key on page 2 shows the finished picture.
Online, tap “Show solution” to see the picture, then color it in with the coloring tools.
