Capital D in cursive starts between the middle and top lines and is made in one movement. Small d starts at the middle line and is made in two strokes. Watch the numbered arrows in the box first, then trace the dashed letters from their green dots: a row of capitals, a row of small letters, and the joined word "duck". Copy D and d next to the models, and finish with a row written on your own.

Printing tips

  • Print at 100% (actual size) so the guide lines stay the right height.
  • Tilt the paper slightly, the same way the letters slope, so writing feels natural.
  • Trace each model with a finger first, saying the strokes out loud, then use a pencil.
