Up next4 Times Table →The 3 times table is usually learned after the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. This sheet starts with the whole table, 3 × 1 = 3 up to 3 × 12 = 36, then three practice levels: ★ in order, ★★ mixed up, and ★★★ missing numbers like 3 × ☐ = 21. Fold the table back along the dashed line for the harder levels.

Tips for learning the 3 times table
- Add up the digits of any answer in the 3 times table and you get 3, 6 or 9: 27 → 2 + 7 = 9.
- Count in threes with a rhythm: 3, 6, 9 – 12, 15, 18 – 21, 24, 27.
Say the facts out loud while doing level ★, then try level ★★ without looking. Level ★★★ asks “3 times what makes 18?”, which is the first step towards dividing by 3. When the sheet is easy, move on to the 3 times table worksheet for mixed review.
