The 7 times table is often one of the last two tables children learn, so most of its facts are already known from other tables. This sheet starts with the whole table, 7 × 1 = 7 up to 7 × 12 = 84, then three practice levels: ★ in order, ★★ mixed up, and ★★★ missing numbers like 7 × ☐ = 49. Fold the table back along the dashed line for the harder levels.

Tips for learning the 7 times table

  • Most of the 7 times table is already known from other tables: 7 × 3 is 3 × 7. The only new facts are 7 × 7 = 49 and 7 × 8 = 56.
  • Remember 56 = 7 × 8 as “5, 6, 7, 8”.

Say the facts out loud while doing level ★, then try level ★★ without looking. Level ★★★ asks “7 times what makes 42?”, which is the first step towards dividing by 7. When the sheet is easy, move on to the 7 times table worksheet for mixed review.

Printing tips

  • Fold the sheet back along the dashed line to hide the table before starting levels ★★ and ★★★.
  • Time one level each day and try to beat yesterday’s time, rather than doing the whole page at once.
  • Print page 2 separately and keep it as the answer key.
