Up next5 Times Table →The 4 times table is usually learned after the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. This sheet starts with the whole table, 4 × 1 = 4 up to 4 × 12 = 48, then three practice levels: ★ in order, ★★ mixed up, and ★★★ missing numbers like 4 × ☐ = 28. Fold the table back along the dashed line for the harder levels.

Tips for learning the 4 times table
- To times by 4, double the number and double it again: 4 × 7 → 14 → 28.
- Every answer in the 4 times table is even, and every other one is a 2 times answer doubled.
Say the facts out loud while doing level ★, then try level ★★ without looking. Level ★★★ asks “4 times what makes 24?”, which is the first step towards dividing by 4. When the sheet is easy, move on to the 4 times table worksheet for mixed review.
