Only the numbers 1 to 15 along the top and down the side are printed: children fill in all 225 products themselves. Filling in a whole chart is one of the best ways to see the patterns in the times tables, like the 5s ending in 5 or 0 and the chart being the same on both sides of the diagonal. The full answer key is on page 2 of the PDF.

Using this times tables chart in maths

This chart covers the 15 × 15 grid, 225 facts in all, with every product left for children to write. Some ways to use it:

  • Fill in the 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s rows first: the easy facts give a frame for the rest.
  • Then fill each column to match its row: 3 × 7 and 7 × 3 are the same answer.
  • Check the finished chart against the answer key on page 2.

Printing tips

  • Print at 100% (actual size) so the squares keep their size; the PDFs are already set up for Letter and A4.
  • Slip a chart into a plastic sleeve and use a dry-erase marker to circle facts, then wipe it clean.
  • Choose the black and white chart to save colour ink; it uses no grey fills.
