Twenty pairs of numbers from 0 to 20 to compare. Children write > (greater than), < (less than) or = (equal to) in each circle. The teen numbers are the tricky part: 12 and 21 use the same digits, and a 0–20 number line helps children see which comes later and is bigger. Answers on page 2.

Comparing numbers games
- Roll two dice (or draw two number cards each). Whoever has the bigger number says “greater than” and keeps the cards.
- Make the > and < symbol from two craft sticks and hold it between two piles of blocks.
- Say every answer out loud from left to right: “twelve is less than twenty-one”.
More number sense: the 0–20 number line, the 1–100 number chart and ten frames. Every sheet in this set is on the more than, less than worksheets page.
