How to use these pages
Each template is a clean outline drawn by our own engine, with no clip art or watermarks. The PDF has three sheets: one big outline that fills the page, the same shape in three sizes (one large, two medium, four small and five extra small), and a sheet of twelve small outlines for garlands, cards and whole-class sets.
Most template sites print on US Letter and say the page "also fits A4". Ours come as two PDFs, one laid out for A4 and one for US Letter, and every page lists how tall each outline prints on both papers, so you can pick the right size for a card, a stencil or a display.
Use them for cutting practice with young children, as stencils to trace onto card, felt or fabric, or as simple colouring in pages. Shapes that come in several pieces (a stocking and its cuff, a pumpkin and its stem) can be cut from different colours and glued together.
Frequently asked questions
How do I print a template at the right size?
Download the PDF for your paper (A4 or US Letter), open it and print at 100% or "Actual size". "Fit to page" or "Shrink to fit" makes the shapes a little smaller than the sizes listed on each page.
What paper should I use?
Plain printer paper is fine for colouring and tracing. For stencils, ornaments and decorations, print on thin card (160–200 gsm, or 65–110 lb cover stock) so the shapes hold their edges.
Can I use the templates in class or for a craft fair?
Yes for home, school, library and community craft sessions, free of charge. You can sell things you make with them (cards, ornaments, quilts), but please do not resell or republish the template files themselves.
Can I colour the templates online?
Yes. Every template opens in the colouring studio: tap a colour, then tap the shape to fill it, and download the result.
Is there a PDF to print?
Yes. Every page has free PDF downloads for US Letter and A4 paper, with the picture centered inside print-safe margins. Choose "Download PDF (Letter)" or "Download PDF (A4)" on the page and print at 100% (actual size).
