Twelve scalloped round tags (about 2.1 inches across) with a punch hole, a little picture, one word and To and From lines. The PDF has two pages: page 1 to colour in with pens or pencils, page 2 the same tags printed in full colour, so you can make them by hand with children or print a sheet ready to go. Both pages print on US Letter or A4.

How to make the tags
- Print the PDF at 100% on card stock (or plain paper glued onto card).
- Colour page 1, or use page 2, which is already in colour.
- Cut round each tag on the thick line and punch the hole.
- Thread ribbon or twine through the hole, write the names and tie it on.
The messages on this sheet: Cheer, Sparkle, Hooray, Twinkle, Jolly, Smile, Kind, Snug, Ta-da, Glow. Each tag has a picture to colour: a Christmas tree, a star, a present, a mitten and more, all our own simple line art.

Download the PDF and print at 100% or “Actual size” on US Letter or A4. Page 1 is to colour in; page 2 is the same sheet in full colour.
What paper is best for gift tags?
Card stock of 160–250 gsm (65–110 lb) is strongest. Plain printer paper works too if you glue it onto card before cutting.
Can I use the tags for presents I sell?
They are free for personal and classroom use, including on gifts you give. Please don’t sell the tags themselves or upload them to another website.
