“write” is one of the 46 second grade Dolch sight words, usually learned in second grade (Year 2–3). It has five letters (w-r-i-t-e), and on the second grade read-and-color sheet it fills two of the 60 boxes, so children read it twice there. Other second grade words that start with “w”: “wash”, “which”, “why”, “wish”, “work” and “would”. On this worksheet it is hidden twice in a small letter grid, all across.
