Isometric Dot Paper

Isometric dot paper has dots in a triangle pattern: every dot is exactly 1 cm from its six neighbours on both PDFs at 100%, and a second version has dots 5 mm apart.

Tip: for exact sizes, download the Letter or A4 PDF and print it at 100% (“Actual size”). “Print this page” prints from the browser, which scales the sheet to fit.

Join the dots to draw cubes, prisms and buildings in 3D, the way maths classes draw shapes made of cubes, or use it for hexagon patterns, 3D lettering and game maps. The dots are light enough to disappear behind your drawing.

Printing tips

  • Print at 100% or "Actual size". "Fit to page" shrinks the sheet by a few percent and the squares stop being exact.
  • Measure the check bar at the top of the sheet with a ruler: if it is 5 cm (or 2 in), every square is the stated size.
  • Use the A4 PDF on A4 paper and the Letter PDF on Letter paper; both are drawn to the same exact sizes.
