One Christmas list for the whole household: four boxes, each with a line for a name, five numbered wishes with a star to colour, and a line for sizes and colours, so whoever does the shopping knows the shoe size or the favourite colour. Print one for each side of the family, stick it on the fridge in November, or post a photo of it to the grandparents. Teenagers and grown-ups can use it as well as children.
