How our games work
Every game is our own: classic rules that belong to everyone (patience, tile matching, jigsaws, crosswords, sudoku) with our own pictures and design. Each game has a game of the day that is the same for everyone, so a family, a class or a care-home group can play the same one, and a “New game” button for as many more as you like.
They are made to be easy on the eyes and hands: a “Larger print” button, big tap targets, no time limits (the clock only records your own best), Pause, Undo and Hint, and sound off unless you turn it on. Nothing is designed to keep you playing against your will: no lives, no energy bars, no rewards for watching adverts. Many of the games also print, with answers, for a screen-free afternoon.

Yes, every game is free and plays in your web browser. There is nothing to download, no account and no in-game purchases. Adverts on the pages pay for the site and are kept away from the games.
Which games are good for seniors?
Klondike solitaire with large cards, FreeCell, Spider solitaire with 1 suit, Pyramid, Golf, Yukon, Scorpion, Forty Thieves and Canfield solitaire, mahjong solitaire on the small board (36 big picture tiles), memory match in its “Large and calm” style, spot the difference with “Large pictures”, dots and boxes, nonograms from 5 × 5, word search online in “Large print”, sudoku online (Easy, with “Larger print”), the daily word search with “Larger text”, and the daily sudoku and mini crossword. Every game has a “Larger print” or “Larger text” button, no time limit and sound off by default.
Which games are good for young children?
Jigsaw puzzles with 4 or 9 big pieces and memory match with 6 big pairs from age 3, spot the difference with 5 changes from age 4, tiny mazes from age 3, tangram puzzles and dots and boxes from age 5, word search from age 6, word guess (a snowman instead of a hangman) from age 6, the picture word scrambles and crosswords from age 4, and the tap-to-colour pages. Kids game pages have no chat, accounts, purchases or links away from the site.
Do the games keep my progress?
Your times, wins and days in a row are kept in this browser on this device only. Nothing is sent to us. Clearing your browser data starts them again.
Can I print the games?
Many of them, yes: the daily puzzles, crosswords, word scrambles, mazes, sudoku, nonograms and memory games all print, with answers. Every jigsaw picture prints as a colouring page.
For carers and activity coordinators: the seniors and care homes page collects large print puzzles and colouring that print well for a group.
