How to use these pages
Color by number for adults works like the children’s version, with far more detail. Every page is cut into small numbered spaces, and the key under the picture gives each number a colour. Fill in every space and a picture appears: a mountain lake, a fox, a sunflower or a mandala.
These pages have 118 to 310 spaces and up to 13 colours. Medium pages make a calm hour; expert pages, with the smallest spaces, can fill a few evenings. Each PDF has four pages: the numbered sheet, a coloured answer key, and a large-print version (sheet and answer key) with fewer, bigger spaces and bigger numbers.
Every design is our own, drawn by our code from simple shapes and cut into mosaic cells, so the finished picture has a stained-glass, low-poly look. The key names every colour (light blue, teal, peach, lilac…) as well as showing a swatch, so you can use whatever pencils or markers you have.
Want bigger shapes? Try the bold and easy pages. Prefer to choose your own colours? See the adult colouring pages and mandalas. For children, the colour by number pages for kids have big spaces and simple keys.
Frequently asked questions
Are these color by number pages for adults free?
Yes. Print them or colour them online for free for personal use, with no sign-up. Please don’t resell them or post them on another website.
Do they come with answers?
Yes. Page 2 of every PDF is the coloured answer key, and pages 3 and 4 are a large-print version with its own answer key.
What do I need to colour them?
Fine-tip markers, gel pens or sharp coloured pencils. Print at 100% on US Letter or A4; heavier paper (100–120 gsm) stops markers bleeding through.
Can I colour them online?
Yes. Pick a colour and tap a space. “Show hints” lightly tints every space with its colour, and your progress is saved on your device.
What is the difference between medium, hard and expert?
The number of spaces. Medium pages have bigger spaces and fewer colours; expert pages have the most and smallest spaces.
Is there a PDF to print?
Yes. Every page has free PDF downloads for US Letter and A4 paper, with the picture centered inside print-safe margins. Choose "Download PDF (Letter)" or "Download PDF (A4)" on the page and print at 100% (actual size).
