Two blank clock faces, one above the other, each with the numbers 1 to 12, minute marks and a line underneath for the time. Each clock prints 9 cm on A4 (3¼ in on US Letter) across: big enough for small hands to draw on, and a good size for “what time do you get up / go to bed?” pages.

Printed size and ideas

Each of the 2 clocks prints 9 cm on A4 (3¼ in on US Letter) across when the PDF is printed at 100% (actual size). Choose the A4 PDF in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, and the Letter PDF in the US and Canada.

  • Write a time under each clock and ask children to draw the hands.
  • Draw the hands yourself and ask children to write the time on the line, in figures or in words.
  • Use one clock for each part of the day: getting up, school, lunch, home time, dinner and bed.

Printing tips

  • Print at 100% (actual size); the PDFs are already set up for US Letter and A4.
  • Print the clock face on card stock and slip it into a plastic sleeve to use with a dry-erase marker again and again.
  • Keep the make-your-own clock beside the worksheets so children can set each time before writing it.
