Nine blank clocks, each with a time above it in words and in figures, such as “half past two” and 2:30. Children draw the short hour hand and the long minute hand to show each time. At half past the long hand points down to 6, and the short hand sits halfway between two numbers: at half past three it is between 3 and 4.

How to do this worksheet
- Read the time and find the hour on the clock.
- Draw the long minute hand first, from the dot to the right minute mark.
- Then draw the short hour hand. After the o’clock level it sits part of the way towards the next number, not on the hour itself.
The nine times on this sheet
- 2:30 (half past two)
- 4:30 (half past four)
- 9:00 (nine o’clock)
- 1:00 (one o’clock)
- 6:30 (half past six)
- 10:30 (half past ten)
- 8:30 (half past eight)
- 12:30 (half past twelve)
- 11:00 (eleven o’clock)
At half past the long hand points down to 6, and the short hand sits halfway between two numbers: at half past three it is between 3 and 4. The answer key is page 2 of the PDF.

Printing tips
- Print at 100% (actual size); the PDFs are already set up for US Letter and A4.
- Print the clock face on card stock and slip it into a plastic sleeve to use with a dry-erase marker again and again.
- Keep the make-your-own clock beside the worksheets so children can set each time before writing it.
