How to use it

  • One a day. Print the whole book on 30 November, staple it and colour the page that matches the date each morning.
  • As a countdown. Colour the matching number on the cover when that day’s page is done.
  • In class. Print one page per child each day, or the whole book to send home for the holidays.
  • Crayons, pencils or paint. Plain printer paper is fine; card stock is better for paint and felt tips.

Want a surprise each day as well? Our free online advent calendar for kids opens a new door from 1 December with a colouring page, puzzle or craft that isn’t in this book.

Questions

Is the advent colouring book free?

Yes. The PDF is free to download and print at home or school, with no sign-up, no email and no account. Please don’t sell it or post the files on another website; link to this page instead.

How many pages are in it?

25: a cover with the numbers 1 to 24 to colour in, then 24 colouring pages numbered Day 1 to Day 24, one for each day from 1 to 24 December 2026.

What paper size is it?

There are two versions of the same book: A4 (UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, India) and US Letter (US and Canada). Print at 100% or “Fit to page”. You can print the whole book or just one day.

What ages is it for?

About 3 to 8. Most pages have big, bold shapes for small hands; the patterned baubles and the snowflake mandala on days 10, 14 and 21 have more detail for older children.

Are these the same pictures as the advent calendar doors?

No. The doors of our online advent calendar are a different surprise each day (colouring pages, puzzles and crafts), and they stay hidden until their day. This book is a separate set of 24 pictures you can print now.

Is it a religious advent book?

No. It is a secular Christmas and winter book: baubles, snowmen, candy canes, gingerbread, presents, hats and mittens, with four summer Christmas pages from New Zealand and Australia. There are no nativity scenes, so every family and classroom can use it.
