Questions

What happens at the weekend?

With “Open the weekend doors on Friday” ticked, Friday opens that day’s door and the Saturday and Sunday doors too, so no activity is missed. Untick it to open one door a day.

Our term ends before 24 December. What then?

Choose your last day of term in the teacher settings. From that day every door is open, so the class can do the rest together or take the poster home.

How do I use it on the class screen?

Open the page on the interactive whiteboard or projector, press “Open today’s door” and read the activity and the class idea aloud. Print one copy of the sheet per child, or colour the picture together on the board.

Is it suitable for every family?

Yes. The doors are secular: winter, a family Christmas and being kind, with no nativity scenes. Door 16 is about a summer Christmas in New Zealand and Australia.
