24 Winter would you rather questions for children from about four to eleven, on a snow day, a rainy indoor break or a long car trip. The PDF has 6 pages: 3 pick-one sheets, where children fill in the choice they would make, and 3 pages of cards to cut out and read aloud. Every question is listed below as well, so you can play straight from a phone or tablet.

Questions about would you rather

How do you play would you rather?

One person reads a question with two choices. Everyone picks one, by pointing, standing on one side of the room or filling in a box on the sheet, and then says why. Take turns reading the cards, and there are no wrong answers.

How do I use would you rather in the classroom?

Read one card as a brain break, a morning-meeting question or an exit ticket. For a moving version, point to two sides of the room and have children walk to their choice, then ask one child from each side to explain. Older children can write two sentences about their choice on the back of the sheet.

Are the questions OK for young children?

Yes. Every question is ours, kind and safe: no dares, nothing gross or scary, and no brands, films or characters. Younger children can play with a grown-up reading the cards aloud.
