The 14 times table, also called the table of 14, is beyond the usual 12 × 12, and part of the "tables 2 to 20" that many schools in India teach; it builds mental maths with bigger numbers. This sheet starts with the whole table, 14 × 1 = 14 up to 14 × 12 = 168, then three practice levels: ★ in order, ★★ mixed up, and ★★★ missing numbers like 14 × ☐ = 98. Fold the table back along the dashed line for the harder levels.

Tips for learning the 14 times table

  • The 14 times table is double the 7 times table: 14 × 6 is double 42, which is 84.
  • Every answer in the 14 times table is even.

Say the facts out loud while doing level ★, then try level ★★ without looking. Level ★★★ asks “14 times what makes 84?”, which is the first step towards dividing by 14. When the sheet is easy, keep the tables 2 to 20 chart nearby and try the next table up.

Printing tips

  • Fold the sheet back along the dashed line to hide the table before starting levels ★★ and ★★★.
  • Time one level each day and try to beat yesterday’s time, rather than doing the whole page at once.
  • Print page 2 separately and keep it as the answer key.
