A draw-and-write sheet with two Christmas writing prompts. First, children draw their favorite Christmas tradition in the big box and finish the sentence “My favorite Christmas tradition is” on handwriting lines with a dotted middle line. Then they imagine life in the workshop: “If I were one of Santa’s elves, I would”. There is no right answer, so it works for every family’s Christmas, at home or in a summer Christmas.

Tips for this Christmas worksheet

  • Talk about the picture before writing: who is there, what happens, how it feels.
  • Tall letters touch the top line; small letters stop at the dotted line.
  • Read the sentences aloud when they are done.

There is no answer key: every child’s writing is different. When this sheet feels easy, try a letter to Santa. See all Christmas math and literacy worksheets.
