1/4 Inch Graph Paper has squares exactly 1/4 inch wide (4 squares per inch, 6.4 mm) on both the US Letter and the A4 PDF, as long as you print at 100% (actual size): 30 × 34 on US Letter and 29 × 37 on A4.
Tip: for exact sizes, download the Letter or A4 PDF and print it at 100% (“Actual size”). “Print this page” prints from the browser, which scales the sheet to fit.

Quarter-inch squares are the classic quad-ruled paper of US school maths: big enough for one digit per square, so columns of sums, long division and graphs stay lined up. There is a second version with bold lines every inch, for counting squares at a glance. A check bar at the top of each sheet shows whether your printer kept the scale.

Printing tips
- Print at 100% or "Actual size". "Fit to page" shrinks the sheet by a few percent and the squares stop being exact.
- Measure the check bar at the top of the sheet with a ruler: if it is 5 cm (or 2 in), every square is the stated size.
- Use the A4 PDF on A4 paper and the Letter PDF on Letter paper; both are drawn to the same exact sizes.
