1 mm Graph Paper (Millimetre Paper) has squares exactly 1 mm wide (10 squares per centimetre) on both the US Letter and the A4 PDF, as long as you print at 100% (actual size): 190 × 220 on US Letter and 180 × 230 on A4.
Tip: for exact sizes, download the Letter or A4 PDF and print it at 100% (“Actual size”). “Print this page” prints from the browser, which scales the sheet to fit.

Millimetre paper is for precise work: plotting results in physics and chemistry, technical drawing and dressmaking patterns. Three line weights make it easy to count. A check bar at the top of each sheet shows whether your printer kept the scale.
Exact size on Letter and A4
Both PDFs are drawn at actual size: 1 mm squares on US Letter and on A4. Print at 100% (“Actual size”, not “Fit to page”) and measure the check bar at the top of the sheet.

Printing tips
- Print at 100% or "Actual size". "Fit to page" shrinks the sheet by a few percent and the squares stop being exact.
- Measure the check bar at the top of the sheet with a ruler: if it is 5 cm (or 2 in), every square is the stated size.
- Use the A4 PDF on A4 paper and the Letter PDF on Letter paper; both are drawn to the same exact sizes.
