Valentine Color by Number

Free printable Valentine's Day color by number pages (colour by number in New Zealand and Australia): a teddy bear holding a heart, a love letter with a heart seal, a bunch of heart balloons, Valentine cupcakes, tulips in a heart and an owl hugging a heart. Every picture comes with three key styles and a coloured answer key, and the color by code pages hide the same pictures behind addition, subtraction and times table facts, ready for a class Valentine's party or a February maths lesson. Print a free US Letter or A4 PDF, or colour online. All 15 pages are free.

How to use these pages

Each space in the picture has a number, and the key under the picture says which colour goes with it. Colour every space and the Valentine picture appears. The big heart, love letter and heart balloons have large spaces and suit ages 4 to 6; the teddy bear, cupcakes and flowers suit ages 5 to 8.

Every PDF has the page three ways: a colour swatch key for children who can’t read colour words yet, a “3 = pink” word key and a number-word key (“three = pink”). Page 2 is the finished picture, so checking takes a second.

The color by code pages are maths practice in disguise: sums within 10 for kindergarten, sums and subtraction within 20 for first grade, and the 2 and 4 times tables for second and third grade. For a class party, print one picture per child and let them give the finished page as a valentine. More to colour: the Valentine's Day colouring pages and heart colouring pages.
