Boxing Day, 26 December, takes its name from the "Christmas boxes" of money or gifts once given in Britain to tradespeople and household staff the day after Christmas (Encyclopaedia Britannica). Colour the three boxes, their ribbons and bows and the "Thank you" tag, then think of someone who helps you all year, like the postie or a bus driver, and make them a thank-you card. Print a copy for each child, or colour it right here in your browser. Your colouring is saved on this device.

Printing tips

  • Choose A4 in the print dialog in New Zealand and Australia, and print at 100% so nothing is cut off.
  • Red, crimson and scarlet pencils for the poppies and pōhutukawa; leave the anthers yellow or gold.
  • Card stock makes the wreaths and ornament sturdy enough to cut out and hang.
