Twenty-six big uppercase letter cards, A to Z, nine to a sheet. Each front shows one capital letter in a bright colour; the back shows the lowercase letter, a picture (an apple, a bear, a cat) and its word with the first letter picked out. Children say the letter, turn the card over and check the picture: A, a, apple. They suit toddlers and preschoolers learning letter names, and older children practising quick recognition.

How to print and use these cards
The PDF has 6 pages: 3 sheets of 9 card fronts, each followed by its backs. Print double-sided and flip on the long edge, or glue each back page to its front before cutting. Then cut on the dashed lines.
Ways to play
- Spread out five cards and ask “Can you find the B?”, then turn it over to check the picture.
- Say the letter, then its sound, then the word on the back: “B, buh, bear”.
- Put the cards in alphabet order along the floor, singing the alphabet song as you go.
