Ten short planet facts with a word missing from each, and a word bank with the answers at the top: the closest planet to the Sun, the hottest, the biggest, the one with the brightest rings, the one that spins on its side, and what kind of planet Pluto is. It works as a quick quiz after the coloring pages. Page 2 is the answer key, or tap “Show solution”.

Answers to look out for
Venus, not Mercury, is the hottest planet, which surprises many children: its thick clouds trap heat like a blanket. Pluto is a dwarf planet, so it is not one of the eight. Every answer is in the word bank, and each word is used once.
- Read the sentence out loud with each word bank word to hear which fits.
- Cross words off the word bank as you use them.
- Check with page 2, or tap “Show solution”.
