Twenty addition facts with totals from 11 to 20. Most cross ten with two single digits, such as 8 + 5 or 7 + 6, the facts children find hardest; the rest add ones to a teen number, such as 13 + 4. Make a ten first: 8 + 5 is 8 + 2 + 3. Answers on page 2.

Tips for this worksheet
- Read each fact aloud with its answer: “4 and 7 make 11”.
- Make a ten first: split the second number so the first one reaches 10.
- Time the sheet once a week; the time drops as the facts become known by heart.
Every answer is a whole number from 0 to 20, and subtraction never goes below zero. When this sheet feels easy, move on to the hundreds chart and the compare number sentences worksheet.
