The United States split into the four regions the US Census Bureau uses: the Northeast, the Midwest, the South and the West. Region borders are drawn in a bold line and state borders in a thin one, and every state carries its abbreviation. Color each region a different color, then use the four regional maps on this page to learn the states one region at a time.
