Solitaire Turn 3: Klondike Draw 3, Free Online
Turn 3 solitaire (also called draw 3) is Klondike where you turn over three cards from the stock at a time and can only play the top one. It takes more planning than turn 1, because the cards you need are often hidden in the middle of a group of three. Ours is free, plays in your browser with no download or sign-up, starts on turn 3, and has large cards, unlimited passes through the stock, unlimited Undo and a Hint button. Every turn 3 deal here has been won by our solver program, so every game can be won.

How to play
- Build four piles, one per suit, from Ace up to King, in the top-right spaces (the foundations).
- In the seven columns, put a card on one that is one higher and the other colour: a red 6 on a black 7. You can move a run of cards together.
- Only a King (or a run starting with a King) can go in an empty column. A face-down card turns over when it is uncovered.
- Tap the stock (top left) to turn over 1 card, or 3 in turn 3. When it runs out, tap it again to turn the waste back over. There is no limit.
- Tap a card to select it, then tap where it should go. Tap the same card twice, or double-click it, to move it to the best place automatically. You can also drag cards.
- Keyboard: arrow keys move between piles, Enter picks up the top card (Up arrow adds more cards from the column), Enter on another pile puts it there, U undoes, Escape cancels.
Who it’s for: Grown-ups and seniors. Sound is off unless you turn it on, there is no time limit, and “Pause” stops the clock.

Solitaire turn 3 tips and strategy
- The stock comes round in groups of three. Playing one card from the waste shifts every group after it by one, so a card you couldn’t reach last time may come up on top next pass.
- Sometimes hold back a play from the waste to keep a useful card on top for the next pass; Undo lets you test both ways.
- As in turn 1, uncovering face-down cards in the columns comes first, and an empty column is only useful with a King to put in it.
- You can go through the stock as many times as you like here (no Vegas-style limit), so take your time.
- If turn 3 feels too hard, switch to turn 1 with the menu: you keep your stats for each separately.

Questions
What is the difference between turn 1 and turn 3 solitaire?
In turn 1 you turn over one card at a time, so every card in the stock is easy to reach. In turn 3 you turn over three and can only play the top one, so you see the stock in a different order each pass and have to plan around it.
Can every turn 3 game be won?
Every deal we offer can. Many random turn 3 deals can’t be won, so we only use deals our solver program has won. Undo is unlimited if you take a wrong turn.
How many times can I go through the stock?
As many as you like. Tap the empty stock to turn the waste back over and start again.
Is turn 3 good for seniors?
If you enjoy a challenge, yes: the cards are large, there is a “Larger print” button, no time limit and no pop-ups. For a more relaxed game, play Klondike turn 1.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up or download anything?
It is free and plays in your web browser on a computer, tablet or phone. There is nothing to download and no account. Your stats are kept in this browser only. A few adverts on the page, kept well away from the game, pay for the site.
